Pretty Little Things

Today I decided what my New Year's Resolution will be (a little late, I know). I am determined this year to only buy, only have, only do pretty things (and yes, I have decided that pretty can describe actions, not just objects). I love being girly; love all the lace, pink, polka-dots, and bows. So after a wonderful lunch with my mom I went to a fantastic mall with nothing but wonderful stores and had a bit of fun.

I bought this adorable skirt for the spring/summer. I'm thinking of pairing it with dark brown heals, a white tee and the chain necklace below.

I also bought beautiful under garments by Victoria's Secret and Honeydew (purchased at Nordstrom). Because I think it would just be wierd, I'm not going to post photos of them but just say as I type they are being cleaned so I can enjoy them soon. By the way, am I the only one who wants underpinnings to match? I spend time on that when I get dressed in the morning...and when I'm shopping...but I digress.

I then went grocery shopping...another digression but I love to grocery shop! I like the planning that goes into a meal and the way a grocery store is perfectly organized. I bought things for dinner...talapia to grill with lemon juice and garlic, broccoli, and red potatoes to cook with olive oil and rosemary. Now I'm just waiting for the boyfriend to come over (he grills the fish) so we can eat. I think this meal is pretty...it is one of my favorite and makes me feel so healthy when I eat it. And I like to eat so I don't feel guilty for eating everything on my plate.


So here is to a year full of the pretty, the good, the hopeful, and the downright girly. I hope you all have a beatutiful start to what I am determined will be a fantastic year.
