Don't Worry...Be Happy

Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself: I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

Without getting into details, things have been, lets say rocky, between me and the bf (prayers and good wishes welcomed). And after another way to long phone conversation about the same uncontrollable situation that we both hate he reminded me that everything is a choice. I have the choice to deal with this drama or run away from it: to cry and be disappointed (which I do a lot), or smile and say, I have a good life. Which is what I'm going to do.  So here's to the good, the whimsical, the beautiful, and the joyful.

I revived this scarf from my dear friend Stacey today, all tied in brown tissue with a pink ribbon. So cute I jumped around my apartment when it got here...no joke. Check out her blog The Bohemian Chick and make sure to hit up her Etsy store for fantastic scarfs.

I have the most amazing family. My brothers are beyond words great. I hope my (someday) kids have the same relationship we do.

And when all else fails...
