For anyone who grew up outside of southern California, snow days were a thing of pure beauty. Not only did you get the day off of school (a day you didn't have to make up) playing with all your friends in a winter wonderland. Well...today we had our own type of snow day in Mammoth Lakes, CA. It snowed over 18 inches in 24 hours with wind gusts up to 122 mph off the top of the mountian. So, once again we didn't go out skiing, but did "dig" out the car (I crawled through the back while my dad and another man got the snow off so I could drive out). Anyone else recal a snow day? Or another childhood memory that makes you smile?
Kristin, Thanks for entering the Beso.com Hunter Boots contest. Hopefully we can fill that "Hunter-sized hole in my heart (and closet)".

Last winter in Portland (as in 2008), it snowed like mad at Christmas, and I missed a week of work, and Josh and I were stuck inside practically the whole time! It was pretty fun at first, until about day 5 when we started to get on each others' nerves :)
ReplyDeleteI love these days at Mammoth!!
