Heartbroken
I had a wonderful post all planned out in my mind today but it will have to wait until another day. One of my family dogs, Alex (Amber Alexandra) passed away this evening at my parent's home. She was 12 years old and had a full and happy life with the 5 of us, a few cats, a bird at one point, and her sister, Hailey, who is still with us. I know a sad post is not what this blog or I am about, but I also want to be true to myself and express where I am. So tonight I am staying at home, eating ice cream, crying, and remembering a wonderful member of my family. You will be missed Alex, and you will be forever loved.

Oh, I'm so sorry, Kristin. I'm dreading the day that my parents' dog Lucy passes away. She's getting pretty old, and I just hate the thought of losing her.
